Health Equity

Our Mission

Addressing health disparities by promoting a better understanding of community assets, health conditions, and health status within Pima County.

Our Team

Community members and stakeholders developed a clear vision for health equity in our community. Pima County will achieve and sustain a culture of inclusion, equity, and accessibility towards health and wellness.

Our Healthy Pima Health Equity Action Team addresses health disparities by
promoting a better understanding of community assets, health conditions, and health
status within Pima County.

We believe the matters that impact individuals are not their differences. It is their
exclusion from full participation in the economic, political, social, and cultural aspects
of day-to-day life. To confront the issue and practices that exclude, we practice and
promote the use of an "Inclusion, Equity & Access Model" for healthy communities.

Health Equity Action will function best with strong partnerships from multiple sectors at the statewide and local level.
